We’re excited as you set out to host a your very own abolition event. Our goal is to make this as successful for you as possible. It may seem difficult or daunting, but rest assured! You have all the tools you need to succeed.
Here are 10 tips to help as you prepare for your freedom event:
| 1. Sign up to be an A21 abolitionist and read through the abolition manual. |
| 2. Request A21 brochures early, to ensure they arrive in time for your event. |
| 3. Invite an A21 representative to speak at your event by filling out a speaker request form. |
| 4. Do some research. As host of the event, people may ask you some questions. It’s okay not to know all the answers, but try to become aware of some statistics. |
| 5. Download the A21 promotional videos, or request a hard-copy version. |
| 6. Provide next steps and share with people how they can get involved. |
| 7. Take pictures and tag The A21 Campaign on Facebook, or @thea21campaign on Twitter. |
| 8. Send Feedback. We want to know how your party went! It doesn’t matter the size of your party or the amount of people that showed up, we just want to know how you made an impact in the fight for freedom. |
| 9. Have FUN! We want this party to be a way for people to know they are empowered to make a difference. |
